A headboard behind a crib? YES!!! What a fabulous and unique idea. I just love it. It adds warmth, texture, doubles as art, and creates a huge focal point in a nursery. If you are looking for a wow factor, go for it! One of my favorite design styles is a modern room with a touch of rustic. Designer Sherry Hart did a fabulous job on this nursery!
I just finished up a beautiful aqua and melon inspired bedroom for a little girl and her soon to be baby sister. The family already has most of the furniture in the room but wanted to give the room a modern update before the new baby arrives.
I was so excited to see that Pottery Barn Kids has added a few modern bedding designs to their collection! What do you think?

Now on to the boys… I must say they took a bigger risk(and a beautiful risk) with the girls bedding. I’m not quit as impressed with the new boys bedding. Nothing really stands out to me as being unique. Have you guys picked up that I LOVE unique things?

I do like the Varsity Stripe for your little sports star. A modern themed room without the bedding being covered in different types of sports balls.
Wall decals are very trendy at the moment, we all love them. The best part is, it looks fabulous, dresses up a wall, and there is no paint involved. A tree is so versatile and can go with any room design whether it be modern, shabby chic, a whimsical design, traditional, and you can even find them to match bedding with a particular theme. I say put a twist on the traditional tree. Here are some ideas…
Try a series of trees. This is perfect for a modern nursery or room. Everything always looks great in sets of threes. This particular wall decal is available in the 3 colors of your choice making it customized to match your space. It is available on etsy from smilieywalls.
Now this is what I would do if I was designing a room in my home right now. I love it! Find a plain tree wall decal and add tissue paper, fabric, tulle, or even nice fake flowers to the tree. It adds a 3-D element to the wall giving depth and makes a beautiful focal point.
Target is my dream store. I must admit I go there numerous times a week. I always manage to forget to pick something up and then find tons more to buy. They have EVERYTHING. Literally. Although I do hear that some Targets have bakeries? Not around here but how cool!
Last week I was cruising through and stumbled upon their newest line of kids clothing. The first thought that went through my head was how soft the collection is. Then I looked at the tag… Splendid Littles!!! I grabbed a few cute outfits for my little one right away. They were all priced under $20. What a steal! Target just has me going back for more and more!
