I was honored to attend the Honestly Ultimate Baby Shower yesterday thrown by Jessica Alba and The Honest Company in honor of my beautiful friend, Jessica Turner.

Jessica Turner is my best friend from high school and I am so grateful for our years of friendship!  She truly is an amazing inspiration to all those around her and I can’t wait to meet the newest little man they will be welcoming into the family in just one week!

Ever since high school, Jessica has dreamed of having little boys and I’m so happy that dream has come true!  I love this photo I took below of my beautiful friend and her soon-to-be THREE little boys!!!

As the Honestly Ultimate Baby Shower quickly approached, Jessica asked me if I could create something special for Jessica Alba’s sweet little girls, Honor and Haven!  I created these new chevron designs in pink and lavender for her girls and wrapped them in little suit cases.  Fluffy white pettiskirts and pettirompers to wear underneath the aprons, matching headbands, chunky beaded necklaces and pom pom wands were all included!   I truly hope Jessica Alba and her little girls love them!

I was asked by a sweet friend to help out with her daughter’s 3rd birthday party!  We discussed what she had in mind and a Vintage Carnivale themed party was my first thought!  Hot pink, bright blue and touches of black were requested and the color scheme turned out to be simply perfect!

Invitations were sent out complete with coordinating address labels for each guest and return address stickers.

I designed all the party printables: party banners, signs for the party stations(caricature drawings, airbrush tattoos, Dippin’ Dots, a photo booth, and cotton candy) 2″ party circles, flags for straws, food labels etc.  Vintage Carnivale party printables can be purchased HERE.

Presley’s Mommy hired some AH-MAZING companies to make her little girl’s Vintage Carnivale absolutely perfect!!!

As guests arrived, they were able to take photos in the Red Carpet Photo Booth!  The guests, both little and big, had a great time dressing up and using the props for fun photos they were able to take home.

Dolly’s Sweet Dreams Cotton Candy set up their adorable pink and black cotton candy stand and served up some delicious cotton candy flavors.  Adisten loved the cotton candy so much she had to be cut off.  I believe she had 4 servings and considered it her lunch!!!

The Hollywood Candy Girls put together an amazing candy and dessert table in hot pink and bright blue!  Sweet treats, chocolate, cake pops, donuts, rice crispy treats, and the birthday girl’s sparkly pink cake!  Each guest took home a bag full of sweets!

“Presley’s Candy Shoppe”

We had a wonderful day celebrating Adisten’s 4th birthday.  All she has talked about for the past 6 months is her  purple, pink, teal, and green Little Mermaid party at the beach.  A couple of tweaks to the birthday girl’s requests and voila!

I designed new party printables including invitations, party circles, “Thank You” tags, food labels, a Welcome sign, an “Under the Sea” and “Mermaid Lagoon” banner and coordinating birthday shirt.  All items are available in the shop!

As guests arrived, they took photos with the birthday girl at “Mermaid Lagoon” with props such as party printable star fish, sea horse, fish and birthday signs, pettiskirts, crowns, pom pom wands, and pirate swords and patches for the boys.

Each of Adisten’s little friends were then able to “Swim Over & Name Your Fish!”  Each guest was given a “My Name is….” tag,  had to think of a name for their fish, and tie their name tag onto the fish container.

The dessert table!!!  The week before the party I was still stuck on what to do about the table cloth.  Then it hit me while I was driving!  I rallied my Mum the next day and we spent the whole day making this beautiful ombre scallop table cloth.  It was the perfect touch and really tied the whole party decor, cake, and party printables together.

Whack Pinateria once again made the most perfect pinata for Adisten’s party!

I made personalized muslin bags for the kids to collect their candy from the pinata with the thought of them being able to take them home to put little toys and treasures in.

As Adisten’s guests left the party, they were each given a fish bowl complete with fish food and special fish water to take home with their beta fish!

Happy, happy 4th birthday to my sweet baby girl!!!

I have had a lot of fun lately designing paper party goods!  I’ve shared Adisten’s ice cream parlour birthday party, click here for part 1 if you missed it. but for her actual birthday I wanted the day to be just as special!  I whipped up some “Happy to BEE 3″ designs for our family celebration at home and a matching tank top to wear on her birthday.  The bee theme is one of my favorite color schemes(black, yellow, and white) but I wanted to add touches of pink!  Hope you enjoy my little creations

Decorations, Details, and Party Fun!

Tissue Fans!!!

The 21″ tissue fans, from Shop Sweet Lulu, were one of my favorite decorations of the party!  To jazz them up, I created 7″ circle cut outs and glued them to the center of the tissue fan.  The red center fan said “Adisten’s Ice Cream Parlour” and the two light blue fans were decorated with the cute sundae image.

Tulle Pom Poms

I hung red, light blue, and white tulle pom poms from the trellis that covered the party area.  Then I filled tins up with sand and decorated the tables with pom pom wands.  Available on my website, adistenscloset.com in custom colors.

This framed poster got a few good laughs at the party.  When I found it on etsy, from Poster Prop, I knew it had to get it.

Pinata Time!

I ordered this amazing, custom pinata from Whack.  They were amazing to work with, I sent a copy of the invitation and they created a matching ice cream sundae pinata!  This was Adisten’s favorite part of her birthday party!

Swimming Fun

The kids all had a fabulous time swimming in the lagoon and going down the water slides.  We are so lucky to have such an awesome facility to use all summer long, we’ve already been 3 times in this past week!  Of course, I had to search high and low for a red and white bikini(that wasn’t too 4th of July-ish) for the birthday girl to wear.  I finally found a perfect one, a Kate Mack bikini!

We celebrated Adisten’s 3rd birthday with an Ice Cream Parlour party at our local lagoon, a man-made lagoon complete with water slides.  It was a great way to kick off the beginning of summer and have an excuse to eats LOTS of sweet treats!  Adisten had so much fun with all her little friends and our family.

As I was setting up for the party, it was so windy the sweets were literally being blown over and the lighting was HORRIBLE for photos.  Sorry for the photo quality, I’m no photographer and the weather and lighting were not helping!

The Invitation

The inspiration for the party was an adorable Ice Cream Parlour stand from Pottery Barn Kids in light blue and red.  I designed the invitations and party printables to coordinate!

When the kids arrived Adisten gave them each a red sand bucket with shovel filled with personalized Ice Cream Parlour arpons I made, hats from Bake It Pretty, ice cream bowls, and ice cream scoops. The Ice Cream Parlour stand is from Pottery Barn Kids, the inspiration for the party!

The kids all had a great time wearing their aprons and creating their very own ice cream sundaes!

The dessert table was full of candy, cookies, cake balls, push cakes, cupcake ice cream cones, chocolate dipped strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, and lots of toppings for the homemade ice cream!

I’m no baker(or cook for that matter!) but I must admit I was really happy how these cupcake ice cream cones turned out.  I put a few recipes together, the ever popular cupcake baked into a cone and then I dipped them in chocolate melts and topped with a peanut M&M.  I had extra red and white stripey straws from Sweet Shop Lulu so I pushed those through the cones to use as sticks and add a little color.  They were a hit with the kids and the adults!

Adisten’s Nana made homemade vanilla and chocolate ice cream for all her little guests!
